At Empowering Connections we envision networking across and within groups of historically marginalized individuals and groups for transformational empowerment of our communities and community members.
Purpose and Mission:
Our purpose is to expand networks that include voices of historically marginalized people; to empower and transform lives through proactive systems of strength-based supports. Our mission is to engage in community networking, addressing systemic gaps that present barriers to individuals and communities.
Organization Goals:
- Identify patterns of community needs from the perspective of marginalized groups & individuals
- Develop or expand networks of support that are focused on empowerment and transformation of lives through proactive systems including job development, housing, transportation, etc.
- Promote strength-based service delivery that includes the voices of historically marginalized people in developing systems of empowering services
